Our Fall 2021 Performance Session is the adventure-filled play, Peter Pan! Children and adults of all ages love the show for its energy, characters, and messages of friendship, family, and the joy of childhood that Peter Pan embodies. Mrs. Alexis Kinlaw, TAP teacher and Company Manager, will be directing the show.
REGISTRATION AND SESSION COST
Peter Pan is open to all children who will be in Grades 2-8 in the Fall of 2021. Registration opens on Saturday, July 3rd at 10am. To register, click HERE, click the button below that says “Register Here at 10am on June 3rd”, or use the link: https://form.jotform.com/211685727392161. All will take you to the same registration form where you will input your child's information and pay the $200 non-refundable registration fee (via credit card or PayPal). We will accept the first 30 children who register. Once full, the form will no longer be available. If this is the case when you click the link, please email us at email@example.com to place your child on our Wait List. We nearly always accept several children from the Wait List so we recommend getting on it. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT FORMS PRIOR TO 10am ON JULY 3rd, AS THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Also, note that we are not accepting emails to register for Peter Pan as we have done with past shows. All registrations must be submitted via the form at the link above.
The cost for the session is $600 per child, which includes all script, royalty, costumes, and technical fees. The first $200 is a non-refundable deposit due at registration on July 3rd. The next $200 is due by the first rehearsal on August 17th, followed by the final $200 due by September 17th.
Prior to registering your child for the session, please be sure they are available for all of the rehearsals, tech weeks, and performance (dates below). Tech Weeks and Performances are mandatory and may not be missed for any reason. For rehearsals outside of Tech Weeks, each child may miss two throughout the session. If your child will need to miss a mandatory rehearsal, or more than two non-mandatory rehearsals, do not register them for the session.
Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, August 17th and take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30-6:30pm through Thursday, November 4th. The first Tech Week will take place at TAP, with rehearsals on November 8th, 9th, and 11th from 4:30-7:30pm (note the additional rehearsal day as well as the extra hour). Our 2021-2022 "audition-only" show is the iconic musical, Godspell JR. Godspell JR. recalls the Biblical story of Jesus and his disciples coming together to form a community, told through comedy, creative story-telling, fantastic music, high-energy choreography, and a lot of heart! This show is not merely for Christians. The timeless messages of friendship, kindness, tolerance, and compassion resonate with all people, religious and non-religious alike. It is a show that has captivated audiences since its Broadway debut in the 1970s! TAP Director Ms. Katie Clarke will be directing Godspell JR.
REGISTRATION AND SESSION COST
Godspell JR. is open to all children who will be in Grades 7-10 in the Fall of 2021. Auditions will be held on August 2nd and 3rd from 5:30-8:30pm at TAP. Because this is our "audition-only" show with the goal of introducing older children to a traditional and more intensive rehearsal process, not all children who audition will be cast in the show. The cast list will be emailed on August 4th and rehearsals will begin on September 13th. If your child would like to do Peter Pan if they don’t get cast in Godspell JR, you must register them for Peter Pan on July 3rd and receive a spot. If you do, we will save their spot until the cast list for Godspell JR. comes out. In the event that they are cast in Godspell JR, we will give their Peter Pan spot to a child on the wait list.
To register to audition, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org letting us know your child plans to audition. Please include their full name, grade level for the fall, your best contact email address, and your best contact phone number.
The cost for the session is $600 per child, which includes all script, royalty, costumes, and technical fees. The first $200 is a non-refundable deposit due by August 10th, once the cast list has been released. The next $200 is due by the first rehearsal on September 13th, followed by the final $200 due by October 13th.
Prior to registering your child to audition, please be sure they are available for all of the rehearsals, tech weeks, and performance (dates below). Tech Weeks and Performances are mandatory and may not be missed for any reason. For rehearsals outside of Tech Weeks, each child may miss two throughout the session. If your child will need to miss a mandatory rehearsal, or more than two non-mandatory rehearsals, do not register them to audition.

Godspell JR. is an “audition-only” show, which means that the audition and rehearsal process are more intense than that of a performance session. Our audition-only shows are geared toward older children (7th-10th graders) who want to experience more of a challenge to prepare them for high school theatre.
Auditions for the show will take place on August 2nd from 5:30-8:30pm. Children who audition must be present the entire time. If more than 20 children register to audition we will also hold auditions on the 3rd from 5:30-8:30pm. For that reason, all who register to audition must be available both days. If we end up not needing the second audition day, I will email those registered.
For auditions, the children should prepare 60 seconds of a song of their choosing that is in a style similar to the music of Godspell JR. The music is upbeat, rhythmic, high-energy, and covers a wide vocal range. If they prefer, the children may also may choose to sing 60 seconds of a song from the musical, Godspell JR, itself. Either is acceptable! They do NOT need to memorize the song (they may hold sheet music when they’re auditioning) but DO need to have the instrumental/karaoke accompaniment for us to play for them when they sing. This may either be on a CD (we will have a CD player available) or accessible via a YouTube link. If your child chooses to use a YouTube link for their instrumental accompaniment, please be sure you either email us the link ahead of time, write it down for your child to easily access on our computer at auditions, or send it ready to go on an iPad or phone that your child may bring to use for their audition. They may not sing their audition song a cappella so must have accessible accompaniment.
