Performance opportunities and theatre education for children as young as 5 years of age, through 9th grade.  

Performance Sessions: What is a "Performance Session"?

• 13-week session held throughout the school year (2-3x/year), open to children in Grades 2-8, which culminates in performances of a musical or play
• All children who enroll in a session will be cast in the show
• Rehearsals take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30pm-6:30pm
• Rehearsals incorporate acting education and skill instruction into rehearsing for the show
• All acting classes and show rehearsals are taught and directed by experienced theatre educators.
• Each session culminates in a weekend of performances at Burning Coal Theater.

What other theatre opportunities does TAP offer?

•  Workshops ranging in topic from improvisation to dance to acting to technical theatre, open to children in Grades 2-9, are offered throughout the year on weekdays and weekends. Workshops range from one hour to several, and even multi-day. The children may attend as many as they would like and register on an individual-basis.
• Semester Classes during the week for children in Grades K-8.  Each class lasts one-hour, and will cover all aspects of theatre and musical theatre. Class topics change each semester allowing children the opportunity to take different classes, gaining a broad knowledge of theatre and performance skills. All classes culminate in a class showcase performance for families at TAP Studio.
