TAP's Improv & Sketch Comedy Team

Grades 4-12 by audition only, Fridays from 4:30-6:30.

The TAP Improv & Sketch Comedy Team is a classic improv team, developing skills through weekly intensive practices that build toward improv shows, open to all TAP friends and families, held multiple times throughout the semester at the studio.  Mrs. Melissa Dunn, who has extensive experience in improvisation with children and adults, is the coach of the Improv & Sketch Comedy Team!  This is the perfect program for those who love improvisation, who like to make people laugh, who desire to develop their comedy skills, and who want to learn about Sketch Comedy as an art form.  If you are unfamiliar with Improvisation or Sketch Comedy, think “Saturday Night Live”, “Whose Line is it Anyway?”, live comedy shows, and other unscripted performances.  Improv and Sketch Comedy are lots of fun to learn and perform, and are incredibly useful skills for all actors to have in their “actor’s toolkit”!  All interested in being on the team must audition on Saturday, August 20.  Cost is $560/child.

AUDITION INFORMATION: Auditions are open to all children in grades 4-12.  Auditions are on Saturday, December 10 from 3-4pm at the studio.  Students do not need to prepare anything for the audition.  Prior to auditioning, please check that your child is available for ALL of the show dates (Fridays after their class at 6:30pm):   February 24, March 24, April 28, and May 26.  Students must be present for all shows to be on the team.  To register to audition, use the form found at:  https://form.jotform.com/222904362510144
